TaxLane runs entirely in your browser. Here's exactly what that means for your data.
Nothing, by default. There's no account, no sign-up, and no tracking or analytics script of any kind.
Every calculation — PAYE, VAT, Presumptive Tax, CIT eligibility, WHT, bulk Payroll, Employer Cost — runs entirely in your browser, and nothing you type is sent anywhere. If you save a result to Records, it's stored in your browser's local storage, on your device only, never transmitted to TaxLane or anyone else. Clearing your browser data deletes it for good — TaxLane keeps no copy and can't recover it for you.
Two things, and neither is your calculation data. First, standard web-server access logs — every site on the internet receives these for every visitor. Cloudflare, which hosts this site, logs things like your IP address, browser type, and the page requested, used only for reliability and abuse prevention, never tied to what you calculate. Second, anything you choose to send us directly, such as by emailing hello@quineworks.com.
No analytics vendor, ad network, or other third party processes your calculation data — there isn't one to hand it to. Cloudflare, as our hosting and content-delivery provider, handles standard edge traffic per its own privacy policy.
